Bhimtal Lake is a prominent and picturesque lake located in the town of Bhimtal in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India.The lake is named after Bhima, one of the Pandavas from the Indian epic Mahabharata. According to legend, Bhima visited this area during his travels.
Size: Bhimtal Lake is the largest lake in the Nainital district, with a surface area of approximately 47.8 hectares (118 acres).
Altitude: The lake is situated at an elevation of about 1,370 meters (4,495 feet) above sea level.
Shape:The lake has a "C" shape, with a maximum length of about 1.7 kilometers (1.1 miles) and a width of around 450 meters (1,476 feet).
